Beyond the March: Resources for March for Our Lives 2018
Here at Beautiful Trouble, seasoned activists, rebel-rousers, and political artists work together in support of movements for social change by creating resources and providing training on nonviolent direct action and creative activism. Our resistance toolbox includes Beautiful Trouble and Beautiful Rising books and websites, a study guide, and an ever-evolving Training Library of movement resources and training materials.
On Saturday, March 24th thousands of people will take to the streets in solidarity with the students from Parkland, Florida, in a call to stop gun violence in our communities in the March for Our Lives.
In service of this moment, we’ve created the March for Our Lives On-the-Bus Prep Guide. Below are links for this training guide, as well as a few additional resources to support effective work for gun violence prevention.
Gun Violence Complicity Map of Washington
Use this map, begun by Nonviolence International interns, to easily find (and then interact with) companies, institutions, and individuals that are complicit in gun violence. When completed, the map will show the locations of supporters of gun violence, the sources of money responsible for the epidemic of gun violence, as well as responsible elected officials who need to be held accountable.
